Not Another Drinking Game: Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
This policy explains what the Android app Not Another Drinking Game (package com.revealgames.nadg, "the app") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app is made by Reveal Games ("we", "us"). If you have a question, email contact@revealgames.net.
The short version
- No accounts. You never sign up or log in.
- The player names you type stay on your phone. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
- No ads, and the app does not read your advertising ID.
- We use Google's Firebase to count how the app is used (anonymous usage stats) and to switch features on or off remotely.
- Payments go through Google Play. We never see your card or payment details.
- We don't sell your data and we don't share it with anyone for advertising.
1. What stays on your device
Player nicknames, the real names and genders you can add on a player's page, each player's game stats, your settings (like game pace and language) and the games you set up are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them. If Android backup is on for your phone, Android may include this data in your phone's backup to your Google account, so it can come back when you reinstall the app or move to a new phone. That backup is kept by Google under your account and we can't see it.
2. What the app collects
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Remote Config, services provided by Google. Through them, the following is sent off your device:
- App interactions: events such as a game starting or ending, which mode or deck was picked, how many players and cards were in a game, which screens were opened, and whether a mini game was played. These events contain counts and choices, such as whether a gender was set for a player (female, male or not set), never player names or what anyone typed.
- Device or other IDs: a random app instance ID created by Firebase when the app is installed. It is not your name, email or phone number, and it resets if you reinstall the app or clear its data.
- Purchase history: when you buy or renew a subscription, Firebase records that a purchase happened, which product it was and its price. The payment itself is handled by Google Play.
- Approximate location: Google derives a rough location (country or region level) from your IP address. The app never asks for or uses your precise location.
- Basic device info: things like device model, Android version, app version, language and time zone.
- Card downloads: to get new cards, the app downloads card files from Firebase Hosting, run by Google. Like any web request this shows your IP address to Google, which serves the files. Nothing about you or your games is sent with the request.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, precise location or advertising ID.
3. Why we collect it
- Analytics: to see which modes, decks and mini games people enjoy, spot things that break or confuse players, and decide what to improve.
- App functionality: Remote Config lets us turn features on or off and adjust game settings without shipping an update.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We receive confirmation of what was bought so we can unlock it, but never your card number, billing address or other payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play Store app under Payments and subscriptions.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell data and we don't share it with third parties for their own use. The data described above is processed by Google as our service provider under the Firebase data processing terms. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
User-level analytics data is kept for 2 months and then deleted automatically. After that we only keep aggregated reports (for example, "300 games of Chaos were played this week") that cannot be linked back to any person or device.
7. Security
All data the app sends is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS).
8. Your choices and rights
- Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything stored on your device and resets the app instance ID.
- You can ask us to access or delete analytics data linked to your device by emailing contact@revealgames.net. Because the app has no accounts and we don't know who you are, we usually can't match a request to a specific device. In that case the quickest route is to clear the app's data (which gives you a new, unlinked ID), and any older data is deleted automatically after 2 months.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Age
The app is a party game about drinking and is meant only for adults of legal drinking age in their country, and never for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we'll delete any related data we can identify.
10. Drink responsibly
You can play with any drink, including water or soft drinks. Know your limits, never drink and drive, and never pressure anyone to drink.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Big changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
